Buongiorno ragazzi,
Communication asynchronous RS-232-C
Serial : I/O Port connector DB-9P
Mating connector DB-9S
Byte format 8 data bits, 2 stop bits, no parity
Baud rate 38400, 19200, 9600, 4800, 2400 BPS
Firmware
Language DM/PL, HP-GL (758x emulation), HP-GL/2
Supported character sets Standard ASCII
Supported fonts Sans serif (single stroke & medium)
ROM-based plots Confidence plot, DIN plot

http://s21.postimg.org/3pl8nyuhj/Cattura.png
http://s18.postimg.org/ewt10syah/Cattura.png

Below are the general remarks about installing a cutter, bear in mind that we do not have design programs, just programs to send data to the cutter:
When the cutter is connected using the serial interface, you do not need a driver, you have to set the correct settings in your cutting software.
In case the cutter is connected to the computer using an USB-RS232 adaptor, the USB driver for this adaptor needs to be installed (and not the one from Summa), and in the software driving the cutter, the serial port this adaptor is emulating should be selected.
From Windows XP on, we worked with a program called WinPlot.
This program can import EPS and AI files and then send data to the cutter.
We do not work with a ‘Windows based printer driver’.
You can download the program WinPlot from our website.
http://www.summa.be/download/SetupWinplot.exe.
This program works as a 'cutter driver'.
As your cutter is not in the list of cutters in WinPlot, install the “Summa Legacy” cutter, make sure you set the port settings correct.
There exists also a plug- in for Corel 12->X7 and Illustrator CS1->CC.
http://www.summa.be/download/setupSCT.exe
This gets rid of the hassle to export and import.
The program Summa Cutter Control 4 (Legacy) can be used to change the parameters.
Manuals can also be downloaded.
http://www.summa.be/download/winplot_en.pdf
http://www.summa.be/download/sct_en.pdf
This explains in short how WinPlot works.
Best regards,
Dirk.
