Salve a tutti, ho un problema non riesco ad installare mysql da pacchetto tar su Ubuntu 9.04, seguo i passaggi che ci sono nel sito ufficiale :
shell> groupadd mysql
shell> useradd -g mysql mysql
shell> cd /usr/local
shell> gunzip < /path/to/mysql-VERSION-OS.tar.gz | tar xvf -
shell> ln -s full-path-to-mysql-VERSION-OS mysql
shell> cd mysql
shell> chown -R mysql .
shell> chgrp -R mysql .
shell> scripts/mysql_install_db --user=mysql
shell> chown -R root .shell> chown -R mysql data
ma quando arrivo al passaggio:
shell> scripts/mysql_install_db --user=mysql
mi dice:
bash: scripts/mysql: Nessun file o directory
quindi entro nella cartella scripts e provo a lanciare lo script:
./mysql_install_db --user=mysql
ma mi restituisce l'Errore:
FATAL ERROR: Could not find ./bin/my_print_defaults
If you compiled from source, you need to run 'make install' to
copy the software into the correct location ready for operation.
If you are using a binary release, you must either be at the top
level of the extracted archive, or pass the --basedir option
pointing to that location.
Perchè non riesco ad installarlo????
PS non volevo installare da synaptic come mi ha consigliato il prof dell'università perchè l'istallazione da gestore pacchetti installa mysql in posti sparsi del filesystem quindi con quella installazione ho mysql dove voglio io cioè:
/usr/local
Se qualcuno può aiutarmi sarei felice perchè stò impazzendo!!!
